After a delay, Day-1 of the prestigious PGA Championship began with Eric Cole leading initially .He teed off from 10th and had 3 birdies and a bogey shot on the back nine. With three more birdies on the front nine, while the play was suspended, he remaining with last 4 holes of the front nine to play, Cole birdied the easiest hole on the course, the par-five 4th. It is a championship debut for this 34 -year old.
As the round ended after a long delay, Bryson DeChambeau took the lead in the tournament with a score of 4-under 66.

Second position was secured by another American Bryson DeChambeau who finished his first round with 4-under 66 on a par 70 course. With three birdies on the front nine , he parred the last three holes on front nine.
World no 2. Scottie Scheffler, along with Corey Conners and Dustin Johnson finished the first day of the tournament with a score of 3-under 67 at tied-3. Scottie went for a bogey free round on the first day at Oak Hill Country Club. He birdied 14th, 5th and 8th. By the end of the round, Scottie moved up at the tied-2 with 3-under 67, one behind the leader.
Bryson DeChambeau
Canadian player Corey accounted three bogeys in the first round of the tournament.
LIV star player Dustin Johnson was playing well until his last bogey shot on the 18th. He drains a 30-footer across 7 and rises to -1. Later another birdie for Dustin Johnson, who won on the LIV tour last week took a carefree ten-footer at 10, and he rises to -2. Trouble arose for Dustin Johnson on 14 as he hooked a 3-wood for a safety purpose into the trees down the left, then sent his second over the back.
Adam Scott drives into the bunker at the front of the risk-and-reward 14th, then splashes aggressively from 85 feet to kick-in distance finishing his first round with Tied-6 as he carded for 2-under 68.
India's Anirban Lahiri , who got the invitation because of his rankings in the OWGR top-100 didn't have a great start of the tournament. He started the round with a bogey shot on the 10th and went for three more bogeys on the back nine. Till the round was suspended, he was left with his last two holes to play. As the round ended, he tied-74. He carded for only one birdie hit on 17th.
