A spectacular day at Kasumigaseki Country Club for India as Aditi Ashok played a breathtaking round finishing at 9 under at the 72 par course hosting the prestigious Tokyo Olympics. The round was encapsulated by five birdies at Hole 2, 6, 15, 17 and 18 which made the golfer stay tied 2nd, right at the same position as yesterday.

Four shots ahead of the Indian golfer, the USA leader, Nelly Korda played a phenomenally well-round of an eagle and nine birdies, closing at 13 under only to be disappointed at the last hole with a double bogey.

The day witnessed the magnificence of gameplay with players like Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Emily Kristine Pedersen tied hands with Aditi Ashok at T2 around 9 under along with yesterday’s leader Sweden’s Madelene Sagstrom at the 5th position with 8 under, a total of 134.

While the gameplay grows better by the second, tomorrow is yet another day for a better performance from the surprise cut player at Tokyo.
