Round 3 was rather the swiftest round played at Tokyo Olympics yet the head-to-head for the leading chair was rather an exciting sight to stage. With a running tie between Xander Schauffele, Carlos Ortiz and Hideki Matsuyama, Round 3 had its ups and downs with a phenomenal first position for Schauffele.

USA’s Xander Schauffele closed the day with 14 under 68 in Round 3 with a total of 199 after three days of gameplay. The hefty round grabbed him in for five birdies at holes 6, 8, 11, 15 and 18 with a midway plunge of a bogey at holes 7 and 16.

The Games witnessed the high and up the performance of the Master’s wonder and hosting country’s golf charmer Hideki Matsuyama who holds a massive chance to lift the Olympics gold. With the lonesome yet up game second position on the leaderboard, Matsuyama closed out on Round 3 at 13 under par 67.

The third position is a tough tie that equips Britain’s Paul Casey and Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz at 12 under par 66 and 12 under par 69 respectively.

With a nail-biting crunch between the golfers, the last and final Round 4 at Kasumigaseki Country Club, Tokyo will be a rollercoaster ride one wouldn’t really wish to miss.
