The 17th hole of Blue Canyon is described by Fred Couples as “One of the best Par 3’s anywhere in the world” is one which favors a left to right shot and having a downhill slope, one should select one club less than normal. The best option may be to aim there and chip close for a well-earned par. 

The 13th Hole of Blue Canyon, popularly known as ‘The Tiger Hole’. In 1998 after Tiger Woods' remarkable ‘one-on’ shot across 270 yards from the black tee past the canyon, all the way to the green. This 390-yard challenge is quite tough for many golfers today.

Although the hole is relatively short, some 161 yards from the White tee, the green is guarded by the two large intimidating bunkers at the front left and right side of the green, the green has a steep run off at the back so distance control on all shots will be paramount to navigate this hole and walk off with a well-deserved Par 3.

 

 

 

 

4.  RIVERDALE GOLF CLUB

 

 

Located in Pathunthani, one of the luxurious and elegant golf courses of Thailand is Riverdale Golf Club is an 18 holes Par-72 opened in 2010. It was crafted as an intriguing challenge featuring ‘up hill and down dale’ golf never before seen in the Thai Capital’s predominantly flat golf landscapes. Golfers can experience new golfing challenges and playing conditions with opulence. The golf experience is complemented by hospitable staff, luxurious change rooms and a full service restaurant. 

There are several holes to play from the elevated tees to fairways. Pockets of wetlands creates wildlife havens which enables an eco-friendly theme across the course. Riverdale features Salam Paspalum grass on the tees and fairways, and MiniVerde Ultradwarf on the greens ensuring year round playability.

The 3rd hole of Riverdale is among the first of 2 strong Par 4s in a row. This hole has a wide fairway protected along the right by a long bunker placed below the fairway. 4 is a good score here.

 

The 13th Hole of Riverdale runs around a huge lake that is in play off the tee on all 4 holes. Most of the golfers find it difficult in the second shot so the better play is to avoid the water leaving a simple pitch onto a relatively flat green. The trouble on this hole is from the tee and for your second so staying on the short grass and away from the left side is paramount.

 

 

 

 

5.  ROYAL RATCHABURI GOLF CLUB

 

 

 

Royal Ratchaburi Golf Club is among one of the most spectacular Kanchanaburi Golf Courses with some amazingly and aesthetically pleasing views of hilly terrain and views of Burmese mountain ranges make your golf game more challenging and enjoyable. Other facilities such as clubhouse, locker rooms, restaurants and practice facilities are considered to be the best in the River Kwai area. The greens of the field are some of the best well-kept in the Kanchanaburi area. The fairways are cornered along the hills and play for the most part up and down. 

The front nine fairways are much wider than the back nine which at times become more challenging. Golfers witness troops of monkeys on the golf courses which bewares the golfer for the ‘missing’ balls. 

 

The 7th hole of Royal Ratchaburi is along the water bodies with different colorful plants on the sides. The long sceneric fairways on the golf courses with the mountainous landscape gives the best picturesque.
