What happens when your friend, who’s a top golfer, decides to be your caddie at the most prestigious tournament? The result is fantabulous!
So when Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn asked her long-time friend Kiradech Aphibarnrat that if she could assist him as a caddie in the prestigious Masters, he was in for a surprise.

Ariya with Kiradech at the Masters
Carrying seven clubs and dressed in the traditional white overalls, Ariya Jutanugarn was on the bag for Kiradech Aphibarnrat during the annual event on the eve of the Masters.
Jutanugarn and Aphibarnrat have known each other since they were kids growing up in Thailand, but because of their hectic travel schedules, they rarely get to spend time together.

Ariya with Justin Rose at the Masters
The former women’s No. 1 attended last year’s Masters with her mother and sister, but this time she’s been more involved. After arriving into town on Monday, following the LPGA’s first major of the year, she walked nine holes with Aphibarnrat on Tuesday and then looped for him during the Par 3. She is spending the week at Aphibarnrat’s rental house, and she plans to attend each of the first two rounds.
“I had so much fun,” Jutanugarn said afterwards. “I was really excited and nervous.”
Aphibarnrat was grouped with Justin Rose, runner-up at the 2017 Masters, and amateur Harry Ellis. Rose had his two young children as caddies, so Jutanugarn often jumped in to help by cleaning and holding clubs.
Jutanugarn appeared to enjoy her role as a caddie. She was often laughing, smiling and spoke with Aphibarnrat in their native Thai. Jutanugarn often gravitated towards Rose’s children, who she corralled from running around the tee box during their father’s backswing and guided throughout the round.
