Saptak Talwar, a 24-year-old golfer hailing from Delhi, has made an impressive debut on the Asian Development (ADT) Tour, marking his return to Asia after playing college golf in the United States. Talwar secured a remarkable 3rd place finish at the US$ 100,000 BRG Open in Da Nang, Vietnam, posting rounds of 73-69-68 (6-under 210).

Talwar's performance is particularly noteworthy as he was playing on the ADT for the first time. He holds a degree in Political Science from Sacred Heart University, located just outside New York City, and during the pandemic, he managed to qualify for the PGA Tour Canada.

In a remarkable turn of events, all four Indian golfers in the field managed to make the cut, a first for this season on the ADT. Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, who clinched victory in Indonesia last week, and Khalin Joshi, who is set to represent Asia in the upcoming Asian Games, both tied for 15th place. Samarth Dwivedi finished in the 31st position.

The ADT tour is set to return to Indonesia in two weeks, but it remains uncertain how many Indian golfers will participate, as the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) season will also kick off concurrently.
