About me: A former professional Golfer, a Golf coach and Director of Instruction at Tarun Sardesai Golf Academy at the Zion Hills Golf Country.

My Mantra: In 2004, I made the transition from playing professionally to teaching full time, imbibing the style and teaching philosophy of my Coach and Guru, Donato Di Ponziano. My mantra is to give young golfers what I wish I had when I was growing up playing the sport, i.e. quality golf instruction.

Teaching is my passion. I am a mentor to my students and a hands-on coach involved in every aspect of their game. This I believe will always be my strength.

What inspired me to take up Golf: I was always into multiple sports and Golf was no exception. Moreover, my father played so that’s how I was more drawn towards the game. It’s been 30 years now that I have been into Golf.

On Golf In India: I always felt Golf is the perfect sport for India as our physique is built for the game. A lot of players are doing really well on the international circuit. However, I also feel that as a race we need to become mentally stronger.

On choosing Golf over other sports: The beauty of the game is that it’s an individual game and you do not need anybody else to play with. You compete against yourself and the Golf course. Moreover, it helps in character building and instils a sense of integrity within you.
