About me: I am an 8-year old junior golfer from Gurgaon. I learn at DLF Golf and Country Club under the coach Raju James. On weekends, I play at Karma Lakelands.  

I was introduced to Golf by my father, a Naval Officer at the age of five and a half while he was posted at Kochi. The local coach at the naval golf course, Kochi spotted my talent and encouraged my parents to put me seriously in golf. I picked up a liking for Golf within no time. With regular practice within 3 months, I developed enough skills to play on the course and compete at junior levels, as well as win them.

Why Golf and not any other sport: While I love playing tennis and cricket, golf is my most favourite sport and I aspire to be the no. 1 golfer in the world. I like the unknown challenges of the golf course like the bunker, water and trees.

My Golfing achievements: Over the last three years, I have won more than 50 trophies in national and international junior tournaments. My most notable achievements include:-

(a)  Winner of US Kids World Junior Championship 2018 in an 8-year category, thereby becoming the youngest Indian ever do so

(b)  Runner-up at albatross INTERNATIONAL junior golf championship 2018 in E category. He lost in the playoff.

(c) Finished 8th at the US kids junior world championship 2017, Pinehurst, the USA in 7-year category.

Funny /interesting moment: - When a dog picked up my RO V1 ball from the green,  I chased the dog until he finally dropped the ball for me to recover. 

Upon my victory at the US kids world championship, my friend from South Africa visited me and wrote the winning speech.  The speech started something like this - I want to thank my friend Lubanzi for writing my speech.
