What inspired me to play Golf :  No one can deny the growing popularity of Golf. Since I belong to the tourism industry, I found the tourism potential of Golf is pretty much large and it is all set to grow in the forthcoming years.  A lot of people were travelling to Australia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia to play Golf. I thought this would certainly help me in my business and I immediately lapped up the opportunity and starred playing Golf to better understand the game.

Secondly, I got varied invitations to come and play Golf in different countries. I regularly play in Austria, Malaysia, Thailand on the invitation of Department of Tourism of those countries. That’s a nice gesture from them.

Memorable Golf moment : When I represented India to play in the Mercedes Golf Tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. It was a nice feeling to represent India and play against 40 countries. This was 2 years back.

Dream 4-ball : I would love to play with Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Shiv Kapur.

One thing I would like to change about the game : Unfortunately, Golf is not being promoted in schools like Cricket and Soccer. There’s no Golf training being imparted in schools. This needs to be changed. I would want a lot of schools to promote Golf.
