What egged me to take Golf: Started off as a hobby. I just took some time with my dad and I hardly knew that my hobby would become my career. Only a few are privileged to see their passion turn into their occupation. Each win motivates me and inspires me to conquer new challenges. It helps me to be better and the confidence keeps me going. Golf just happened by chance and I am indeed happy about it.
Dream Golf moment: Yet to come but playing in one of the majors would definitely be my dream Golf moment. I can say doing well at the Hero Women's Indian Open 2017 was kind of a dream Golf moment. I had so much support from everyone and it really helped me going.
Interesting snippets: I am a very impatient person and I have to keep doing something. I can sit quietly. But then I play Golf which needs a lot of patience. Somewhere or the other, I strongly feel that Golf has started to help me instil that patience and composure within.
When I am not Golfing: I catch up on my sleep, shopping and spending good quality time with my friends.
Dream 4 ball: Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and me.
On Women Golf in India: It’s definitely growing at a great pace. When I was a junior, there were hardly any people on the tour and even the prize money was less. But now things have changed a lot and now the number of players have doubled. In the forthcoming years, we’ll see more women carving a niche of their own in the Golfing circuit.
On Golf in school’s curriculum: I hope Golf becomes a mandatory part of schools, but as a fun activity so that kids can really enjoy the game.
