About me:  Professional golfer on the WGAI. I have been playing golf for the past 13 years. Played D1 golf for Texas state university and before that represented India in top-level junior tournaments.

 

 

Why Golf and not any other sport: I live in Delhi and my dad got me into golf. I love working out, yoga and scuba diving. Have a bunny as a pet. I like golf for its individuality. Every swing is different and so every player has a very unique golf personality. I like that there are so many different aspects of the game from different clubs to different playing conditions to a different course every week. No one day is the same as another be it at practice or competition and I love that about golf.

 

Golfing achievements: I have had 5 hole-in-ones out of which 3 have been in competition. I was the number 3 amateur in India and 213th in the world before I went to Texas state. Have been the winner of northern India golf championship at Delhi golf club and eastern India in Tollygunge Golf club- both in 2014. First team all-conference at Texas state university (sun belt conference) 2016-2017

 

Interesting snippets: Was lost at sea at age 3. A wave took me in. Didn’t like me so threw me back. Threw up water for a while but survived. I also had my first cigarette at the age of three, from the wrong side. Got some burn marks on my lips as a return gift. Got electrocuted from a wall socket also at the age of three. 1998 was a tough year for me.

 

One thing I would like to change about Golf: A mulligan a round would be great in tournament play.

 

Dream 4 ball: My dream fourball would be Phil Michelson, Jason day, Steph Curry and me!

 

My addiction: I am addicted to onions.
