Mankind Pharma chose to appreciate and recognise the hardships of the Indian players granting Rs 11 Lakhs each to twenty players who missed the Olympic medal.

The Indian players gave a tough fight at the Tokyo battleground bringing spectacular recognition to the country at the Olympics. With Aditi Ashok closing at the 4th position, missing the bronze with one stroke, competing against the World No 1 Nelly Korda, the contribution from Mankind is a boost to their abilities for the future. 

The twenty players currently include 16 women’s hockey players, boxer Satish Kumar, wrestler Deepak Punia and shooter Saurabh Chaudhary too. 

The company understands the hardships faced by the athletes and has come forward to appreciate and acknowledge the spirit of the players, Mankind Pharma said in a statement. Vice-chairman and Managing Director Rajeev Juneja added, "We believe that in every sport, it is not the win that counts, it's the efforts that are counted and our players have put so much effort while representing our country."

The players who missed the medal surely won hearts with their tough exterior and unbelievably remarkable performances. Aditi Ashok too finished her final day with five birdies, two bogeys and recognition for the sport in the otherwise cricket-crazy country. 

As a leader in the industry, "We want to appreciate the hardships and sacrifices they have put in over the years. Such players inspire the whole country and motivate the younger generation to earn honours for the country," the vice-chairman further stated.
