Aditi Ashok has taken the game of Golf to newer heights
Indian golfer Aditi Ashok mixed three birdies with as many bogeys for an even-par 71 to make the cut at tied 32nd position at the Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association (LPGA) Tour’s Volunteers of America Classic. Aditi, who missed the Women’s Indian Open which she won in 2016, for this event on LPGA, twice birdied and gave away gains on the very next hole on second and third and then sixth and seventh. Then she bogeyed again at 15th but birdied the 17th to card 71.
Anika Verma is the latest kid on the block
The country's top amateur golfer Anika Varma finished a creditable fifth in the Hero Women's Indian Open with a 3-under par aggregate of 285 and a final day card of two-under 70 here on Sunday. The 15-year-old Anika was one shot ahead of best-placed home professional Tvesa Malik, who was tied sixth at one-under 287.
