Six. Six. Six.

If you’re thinking we are talking about Cricket, then you’re off the radar. We’re talking about the number of playoff holes American Professional Golfer Patton Kizzire took to defeat James Hahn at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Patton Kizzire made a par on the sixth playoff hole to beat James Hahn and win the Sony Open on Sunday in Hawaii.

Kizzire was tied at 17 (along with Hahn) under after 72 holes at Waialae Country Club

Hahn stormed up the leaderboard with a final-round 62 to grab the clubhouse lead, and Kizzire closed with a 68 to force the playoff.

They tied with a par and bogey on the first two playoff holes, the par-5 18th, and then tied with pars on the par-3 17th. They went back to the 18th twice more and were deadlocked again, and Kizzire finally won on the par-3 17th, the sixth playoff hole.

Hahn missed the green, then lipped out for par, opening the door for Kizzire, who made a short par putt to win for the second time this season.

Justin Thomas ends on a high note

Justin Thomas said he played well this week

Defending champion Justin Thomas shot a 2-under 68 Sunday to tie for 14th at 12 under with Daniel Berger, Zach Johnson and Jerry Kelly. Thomas birdied two of his last five holes to end his week on a high note.

"I played well this week. I'm pretty disappointed with where I'm going to end up finishing," Thomas said. "I played way better than this. I should have not only, I feel like, won the golf tournament, but I should have had a chance coming down the back nine."

Spieth not happy with his performance

Jordan Spieth at the Sony Open

Jordan Spieth shot a second straight 4-under 66 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 18th

Despite shooting four consecutive rounds in the 60s, he was displeased with some parts of his game this week.

"I got a lot of work to do in the putting game," Spieth said after his round. " I think I was somewhere close to about 100th this week in strokes gained. I was like 95th going into today and made a couple outside ten feet, but then I also missed a number of them. So I've got a lot of work to do with the putter, it's as simple as that. Everything else is plenty ready to win."
