The Thai Golfer, who was on Number 51, had set his sights on the prestigious Masters 2018 as he was projected to jump onto 49 – provided he didn’t play!

Now, Kiradech Aphibarnrat has pulled out from an Asian Tour satellite event with a back injury. This means that the Thai Golfer will finish the year at No. 49 in the world and earn an invitation to the Masters.

The top 50 in the final world ranking of 2017 earn spots at Augusta National.

A FEW THINGS WE DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT KIRADECH

• Armed with a lot of chutzpah:  You have to give it to the gutsy Kiradech for his confidence. Not many know but Kiradech got his first mean machine (car) for $150k when he only had $15k in the bank. He had the belief that he would make enough money on tour in the three months following to pay it off, and he did.

• A proud owner of 30 pairs of sneakers: A pair of sneakers gives an all-time high to the Thai Golfer. That explains why his customized trunk is full of 30 pairs of bootleg Yeezy sneakers.

• Loved Golf as a kid: His passion for Golf kicked off since he was a kid. Kiradech’s father used to take him golfing while he was supposed to be at school. There were even times where he could pass his homework off to someone else, just as long as he was playing his pet game.
