Champion Reef is conveniently located near Kolar, within an hour's drive from most parts of Bangalore and the new Bangalore airport, along one of the finest new highways. Positioned between two major metros, Bangalore and Chennai just off NH 4, an 8 lane expressway, it is located close to Kolar Gold Fields, once a place of high living with palatial bungalows and lavish clubs. Recent press reports suggest that the Gold Fields could reopen and add shine to the area once again. The golf course is interestingly named after one of the world's deepest gold mines in the Kolar Gold Fields and is surrounded by low-lying picturesque hillocks, natural lakes, mango orchards and eucalyptus plantations.
