Bangkok, 16 September 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) officially opened the Thailand Golf Travel Mart (TGTM) 2025 in Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima, where it is being staged from 15 to 17 September. The annual B2B marketplace reinforces Thailand’s position as a world-class sports and health destination and advances responsible tourism in line with TAT’s sustainable development goals.

Mr. Kittipong Prapattong - Deputy Governor for Digital Research and Development, said “The Thailand Golf Travel Mart is about more than golf. It is about creating sustainable golf tourism experiences, advancing sports and wellness travel, and building lasting business partnerships. For many participants, it is also a first opportunity to discover Khao Yai—one of Thailand’s most scenic golf destinations—where world-class courses, wellness activities, and the spirit of the Land of Smiles can be enjoyed on and off the greens.”

TGTM 2025 has brought together 70 leading golf holiday specialists from 17 countries worldwide with 67 Thai businesses — golf courses, tour operators, hotels, and related service providers — with more than 2,000 appointments scheduled. The event also welcomed 30 international media representatives.

The programme opened on 15 September with a Networking Golf session and Welcome Reception at Rancho Charnvee Resort and Country Club. On 16 September, Toscana Valley Country Club hosts the Opening Ceremony, TGTM Talk, and product briefings on golf tourism, wellness, and local showcases by Mrs. Rungtip Bookkunthod, Director of TAT Nakhon Ratchasima Office. This was followed by business appointments, and networking activities. In the evening, the TAT Night Reception is scheduled at Lamaya Khaoyai. The event concludes on 17 September with a Networking Golf Tournament and course inspection at Toscana Valley Country Club, hosted by the Thai Golf Course Association.

As part of the experience, delegates explored Khao Yai’s potential as a golf tourism hub, with its acclaimed courses, luxury resorts, and natural landscapes demonstrating Thailand’s readiness to host world-class events. Complementary activities such as shopping, spa, and Thai cuisine further highlight golf tourism’s role in enhancing visitor spending.

Reflecting its responsible tourism focus, TGTM 2025 integrates sustainable event practices such as minimising single-use plastics, encouraging energy efficiency at host venues, and promoting golf tourism products that align with community-based and eco-friendly travel. These efforts underscore TAT’s commitment to reducing the event’s environmental footprint while inspiring delegates to embrace responsible tourism in their businesses.

TGTM 2025 is expected to enhance global recognition, reaching more than 1.5 million people, while achieving a satisfaction rate of over 80 percent among Thai operators. The event is anticipated to reaffirm Thailand’s profile as a premier sports and health destination, inspire new golf and wellness travel itineraries, and strengthen the tourism sector’s commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and community engagement.

The Thailand Golf Travel Mart is the country’s leading business platform for golf tourism, with past editions staged in destinations such as Pattaya, Khao Yai, Chiang Mai, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, and Bangkok. By rotating its host venues, TGTM highlights the diversity of Thailand’s golf courses and services while connecting Thai sellers with international buyers, generating business opportunities, and reinforcing Thailand’s position as Asia’s top golf destination.

Thailand offers more than 250 golf courses for all levels of play, from championship layouts in major destinations to hidden gems in secondary cities. The country has also hosted prestigious tournaments, including the Honda LPGA Thailand, further cementing its reputation as a world-class golf destination recognised by players and fans worldwide. Thailand is also a rising golf destination for youth golf, home to leading golf academies and a host venue for global golf tournaments, further reinforcing its position on the international golf map.
