The Sports Authority of India (SAI) established the Mission Olympic Cell to assist in the identification of athletes for TOPS(Target Olympic Podium Scheme), a flagship programme that supports India's medal chances for the 2024 Olympics in Paris which includes the name of deserving golfers like Aditi Ashok, Anirban Lahiri , Udayan Mane but not Diksha Dagar which lefts her in low morale and felt discriminated by ministry of sports.

Being in anger she bursted out on her twitter handle and apparently writes -
“Discrimination- if it happens every time, it becomes difficult to take in stride. What is the basis here” and also tagged Prime minister, Anurag Thakur and Sports Authority Of India.
In her second tweet in a row with the same disagreement with Sports Authority she has given the reference of her marvellous performance throughout her journey stating that how much she deserves to be in the list and included some her award winning tournaments and said- “Can anyone guess the encouragement by way of awards, rewards or financial schemes from SAI or MYAS to....be careful ".

Also, Notable names that have been excluded include shooters Apurvi Chandela, Tejaswini Sawant, Mairaj Ahmad Khan and wrestler Seema Bisla. All four represented India at the Tokyo Olympics earlier this year.
Selection process of players and board members needs more transparency. Players should be only judged upon their performance and not any other factors. Because if authority won’t do this, it will leave many deserving players in low morale and neglection.
Corruption in sports is the major reason that affluent candidates score over talented candidates and that’s what refuses to recognize dedicated and talented sportsmen from smaller cities or due to any other factor. There is huge influence of politics in sports too, due to which our true sportsmen are missing. Politicians plan well not to promote good talented people, but their own kins. Also, sports management and conduction has merely become another way of filling pockets in quick time that needs to be amended.
