Colombo - A destination for a peaceful sojourn

The beautiful Sri Lankan city is also a popular attraction for Buddhists. There are quite a few temples, meditation centers with dense nature around, and exciting trails. Culturally, Sri Lanka possesses strong links to both India and Southeast Asia. The country has rich traditions, with distinct creative forms that encompass music, dance, and the virtual arts.
Victoria Golf and Country Club
Rising around a scenic lake, UNESCO-listed Kandy is home to sacred landmarks, landscaped gardens, and cultural museums. Beyond the city, a cloudy forest and tropical plantations roll across the mountain slopes
providing plenty of hiking and wildlife-watching opportunities, while upscale resorts line the Mahaweli River.
Surrounded by scenic mountains and tea plantations, Kandy is a majestic city with much pride which is the last stronghold of the Sinhalese Kings. The city was declared as a World Heritage site as it is home to the "Dalada Maligawa" - Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha. Today, it is the center of Buddhism, arts, crafts, dancing, music, and culture.
Nuwara Eliya - 'Little England'
Nuwara Eliya, also known as 'Little' England', was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create the resort into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill club, with its hunting pictures, mounted hunting trophies and fish, and its strict formal dinner attire; the 18 hole golf course, racecourse, etc., evoke nostalgia of Colonial British Ceylon.
Blessed with a salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains, and greenery; it's hard to imagine that Nuwara Eliya is only 180 Km from the hot and humid Colombo. Also, there is a golf course named Nuwaraeliya golf course that was founded in 1889. It is an institution, rich in tradition, history and carries an ambiance unparalleled in this country. The 18-hole course, 6399 yards long, is a testing par 71 and is made up of long, narrow fairways, bordered by rows of towering eucalyptus trees and elegant cypresses, held together by dense acacia shrubbery.
Hambantota - A coastal town
Hambantota is a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Even though the coastal area was badly hit by the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, this city was rebuilt to grow into the 2nd major Sri Lankan city after the nation’s capital area. Famous for its biodiversity, this region is home to approximately 20 wildlife sanctuaries and popular national parks.
Shangri La Golf and Country resort
You can begin your journey on the road until you reach Hambantota. Check in to beautiful hotel, Shangrila golf and country resort and can enjoy the scenic beauty of the crashing waves lapping into the shore where coconut trees dot the course. Where you get to spend some quality time overlooking the southern coast of the island and explore the luxuries of the resort.
