Women’s Amateur R1: Anika Varma Gloriously Tied 5th

Indian amateur Anika Varma had a glorious Day 1 at the Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific Golf Championship after tying fifth on the leaderboard at 3 under.

The young Indian golfer played the day with three birdies in her bucket at holes 4, 7 and 10 as she tied along with Malaysia’s Ashley Lau, Audrey Tan and Natasha Andrea Oon; Australia’s Kelsey Bennet and Cassie Porter; South Korea’s Youmin Hwang and Indonesia’s Inez Wanamarta.

Hero Women’s Pro Golf winner, Avani Prashanth tied 21 on the leaderboard along with Sifat Sagoo at 1 under. Sneha Singh tied 39 at 1 over, Natalli Gupta tied 49 at 2 over, Kriti Chowhan tied 60 at 4 over, Nishna Patel secured T68 at 6 over while Hannah Cheryl Alan closed on the 75th position at 14 over.

Thailand’s wonder Natthakritta Vongtaveelap secured the first position on the leaderboard as she had a glorious close at 6 over two strokes ahead of the second, Chinese Taipei’s Chun-Wei Wu, Japan’s Mizuki Hashimoto and Indonesia’s Viera Permata Rosada.
